She is an assistant professor at Instituto Superior de Agronomia da Universidade de Lisboa, and is member of the Center for Mathematics, Fundamental Applications and Operations Research, a research unit at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. The teaching areas are in Mathematics. The research area has been Operations Research applied to problems in Agricultural Sciences. Most of the scientific publications are in optimization in forest management with environmental concerns. One favorite hobby is breathing new life into unwanted or seemingly useless objects.
